Police Arrest 8 Robbers Of Jambret To Death In Deli Serdang
MEDAN - The police arrested eight perpetrators of the assault that led to the death of their victim, suspected to be the perpetrator of the robbery with the initials R (39), in Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra.
"Eight people have been arrested. They are currently being investigated," said Percut Sei Police Chief, Kompol M Agustiawan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 17.
The identities of the eight people are Z (26), MR (16), RH (26), MAW (26), ASN (22), MAS (21), MF (21), MLN (32) who are residents of Bandar Khalipah Village , Percut Sei Tuan District.
The police also confiscated evidence of one unit of a green car BK 1445 DY, blood-stained gloves, duct tape, and a sharp weapon, a dagger belonging to the victim.
Kompol M Agustiawan said the police were currently conducting a case to determine the legal status of the eight detained people.
Previously, the beating that led to the death of R occurred on Jalan Pasar XII, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra on Wednesday, February 16 in the morning.
At that time, R was arrested for allegedly snatching the cellphone belonging to a road user. A number of angry residents immediately beat R until he was unconscious. Residents had taken R to the hospital but his life could not be saved.
