6 Photos Of Dorce Gamalama's Funeral Process As A Man, According To Buya Yahya's Directions
JAKARTA - Dorce Gamalama's family finally buried Dorce's body as a man as Dorce's identity at birth. Fatimah as Dorce's adopted son confirmed his mother's funeral today.
"So Mama has handed over to us the children, if something like this (died), Mama handed it over to us. And we decided to (buried) according to the mother's birth," said Fatimah when met by VOI at RSPP Simprug, South Jakarta.
Hetty Sunjaya assessed that Dorce's departure when he was exposed to COVID-19 was the best and had become the will of the Almighty.
"God has power, good plans for him. It's really a disgrace to him, his history is closed. No one else wants to talk about it," said Hetty when met by VOI TPU Bantar Jati, East Jakarta, February 16.
Hetty tries to see positively that this is a way to subside the polemic about being buried by a woman or a man, which was previously hotly discussed.
"We also don't know, we don't even know the child. We don't know whether he was bathed or not. Right, if Covid was immediately wrapped with the protocol. So all of a sudden it was already tidy from the hospital," said Hetty.
Dorce was buried with COVID-19 procedures. His body remained in the coffin and in the car when he prayed. Likewise, at funerals, all officers use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Previously, Dorce's will went viral and was opposed by netizens, Dorce had refused and firmly wanted to be buried as a woman.
Buya Yahya commented on the Al-Bahjah TV YouTube channel. "A man who is born a man, then changed into a woman, in essence he is still a man. The way to treat the corpse is a man, because he is not a real woman," he was quoted as saying Monday, January 31.
Buya Yahya emphasized that Dorce Gamalama still deserves respect. "Because there is one thing that is different in him that needs to be fixed, so don't get used to berating or making fun of him," said Buya Yahya.
Hearing Buya's explanation, Dorce seemed calmer. Dorce admitted that he was sincere regardless of the treatment of his corpse later.
"I have great respect, respect for Buya Yahya. Compared to others, Buya Yahya is an extraordinary scholar who is full of social spirit, a big soul, who does not bring down people, does not insult people, does not blaspheme people. Thank you Buya Yahya," said Dorce in the video uploaded on Instagram @dg_kcp quoted Wednesday, February 2.
Dorce Gamalama admitted that he was sincere, after all, his body would be taken care of if he died. "People have started to talk a lot about my death, if I die, take care of my corpse. Take care of it according to the gender I have. God willing, I am sincere," concluded Dorce Gamalama.
Anna, as an adopted child, explained that Dorce Gamalama had been sincere that he would be called by Allah SWT since the beginning of being admitted to the hospital because of diabetes. The owner's real name, Dedi Yuliardi Ashadi, seemed to give a message to his family that he would pass away in the near future.
"When you felt sick, Mother said that God wanted to go home, God willing, Mother was sincere since Mother was sick since suffering from diabetes," recalled Anna.
