Amin Rais Called His New Party A Motto Against Injustice And Upholding Justice
JAKARTA - Former Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Amien Rais gave a leak about his party. According to him, his new party will have a slogan against injustice and is based on Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin.
This was conveyed by Amien through a 4 minute 35 second video uploaded to his YouTube account, Amien Rais Official.
"The principle of our party is Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin. Islam prohibits discrimination against anything. Meanwhile, our motto is against injustice and uphold justice," Amien said as quoted from a video uploaded on Thursday, September 10.
In the video which also features footage of Amien when he was still active as an activist during this reform era, Amien then explains the reasons he and a number of parties formed the new party.
The former chairman of the MPR RI said that this new party was formed because many people felt that there was a need for a new movement. He said those who joined the party agreed that Indonesia was currently on the verge of a crisis ranging from a social crisis to a worsening economic crisis leading to recession and depression.
"Apart from that, the regime's power which is bearing the hopes of the people, its name is getting further away or away from moral or ethical values, good and noble morals," he said.
"That's why some of my friends and I from various circles have agreed to immediately declare a new party," he added.
Furthermore, regarding the logo to the statutes of the party, Amien asked all parties to be patient. This is because at this time he and a number of names who are members of the party are still in deliberation to determine the right time and date to launch this party.
"We ourselves are in deliberation and this is what I can convey first. What is clear, do not forget our principle later Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin. Fight injustice and uphold justice," he said at the end of the video.
Amien Rais' loyalist, Agung Mozin, explained that his party does have a motto against injustice and uphold justice. In the future, this party will become an Islamic party that does not differentiate between ethnicity, religion and race.
"The door is wide open for them. Islam is a blessing for all of them. Including non-Muslims. All divine religions teach the same, namely fighting injustice and upholding justice," said Agung when talking to VOI.
Previously, Agung had leaked a number of figures who would join this party. Amien Rais will not share this information on Thursday, September 10. He said the figures who joined were superstars who had a clear agenda and masses.
"Currently there are talks with us and several other figures, they will join this new party," he said.
Although he has leaked the figures who will join, Agung has not yet wanted to give any clues about the stewardship of this party.
He said the name of this party and the new party officials would be announced at the same time as the party declaration which is planned for December. Even so, it is possible that it will be done sooner.
