Attorney General's Office Admits Pinangki Contacted High Officials Of The Prosecutor's Office After Meeting With Djoko Tjandra
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office has not denied that Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari communicated with officials from the Attorney General's Office. This communication occurred after Pinangki met with Djoko Tjandra abroad.
However, unfortunately the AGO did not mention who Pinangki made the communication with. It's just that, in time all will be opened.
"We are still here. But all will be disclosed," said the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Ardiansyah, told reporters, Thursday, September 10.
He made sure that nothing was covered in this case. According to him, at the time the case was held with the KPK and Bareskrim this was also opened. Everything will be clear when this case goes to trial.
"All will be opened. This is a moment that deserves to be opened, like yesterday we exposed it to the KPK, especially in the trial," he said.
Reporting from the 22 August 2020 edition of Tempo magazine, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin allegedly knew about Attorney Pinangki's departure to Malaysia to meet Djoko Tjandra.
Even Pinangki made a video call after meeting with Djoko Tjandra. Pinangki is said to have conveyed his intention to administer the fatwa of the Supreme Court (MA) regarding Djoko Tjandra.
The Attorney General's Office through the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), the Attorney General's Office, denied this news. During the investigation, Pinangki never mentioned the name of Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.
"Regarding the Attorney General, prosecutor P did not explain anything," said Ali some time ago.
Attorney Pinangki was named a suspect for allegedly accepting bribes related to the fatwa arrangement at the Supreme Court (MA) so that Djoko Tjandra would not be executed in a cessie case or Bank Bali claim rights.
The Attorney General's Office suspects that Pinangki received a bribe worth 500 thousand US dollars, equivalent to Rp7 billion from Djoko. In addition, in this case the Attorney General's Office has named Andi Irfan Jaya, a former NasDem politician, a suspect.
