Attorney General's Office Rahmat's Statement Regarding The Process Of The PInangki Prosecutor Meeting Djoko Tjandra
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office has revealed the reasons behind the investigation of the coach of the Nusantara Cooperative, Rahmat, in arranging the fatwa for Djoko Tjandra at the Supreme Court (MA). The investigation aimed to find facts about the meeting between prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari and Djoko Tjandra.
"What is clear is that he (Rahmat) examined the connection with the process of how Pinangki got to Djoko Tjandra," said the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Ardiansyah, told reporters, Thursday, September 10.
During the investigation, the team of investigators also explored Rahmat's role and background. So that it can be revealed whether Rahmat was involved in the case of Djoko Tjandra.
"What is Rahmat's role, who is Rahmat, who knows first Rahmat, Pinangki, Djoko Tjandra? All of these are traced so that we know exactly what Rahmat has," he said.
Previously, the Head of the General Prosecutor's Office, Hari Setiyono, said it was Rahmat who brought Pinangki to meet Djoko Tjandra in Kuala Lumpur in September 2019.
"Rahmat, which we know from the initial process, and maybe friends already know that is what introduced PSM to Djoko Tjandra," said Hari.
Investigators, he said, would dig up information from Rahmat. This is because at the meeting it was said that he discussed Djoko Tjandra's fatwa at the Supreme Court.
"The introduction was like what and what kind of actions, related to the PSM person was the material for the investigation. What is currently being processed we are waiting for the next moment," said Hari.
The figure of Rahmat began to be associated with this case after his photo circulated on social media, showing him with, Attorney Pinangki, Anita Kolopaking and Djoko Tjandra abroad.
