Isolation Rooms And ICUs In 7 COVID-19 Reference Hospitals In Jakarta 100 Percent Fully Filled

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Wiku Adisasmito said a number of COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta had been filled with those who were exposed to the virus. From the data obtained, Wiku noted that there are seven COVID-19 referral hospitals that are now declared full.

"The availability of ICU beds and isolation rooms in DKI Jakarta as of September 8 is that seven of the 67 COVID referral hospitals are 100 percent full. The ICU and isolation rooms are full," Wiku said in a press conference broadcast on the YouTube account of the Presidential Secretariat, Thursday, 10 September.

He explained that the isolation and ICU rooms in 46 COVID-19 referral hospitals had also been filled with more than 60 percent and only 14 referral hospitals were filled under 60 percent.

Seeing this condition, Wiku explained that the government has currently made a flat that is devoted to self-isolation for people exposed to COVID-19 at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital.

The number of rooms provided is 4,800 rooms consisting of two towers, namely Tower 4 and Tower 5.

The facility, said Wiku, could accommodate patients who tested positive but had no symptoms or People Without Symptoms (OTG) and could not carry out independent isolation in their respective homes.

For people who want to occupy the facility, Wiku said that it is enough to bring a cover letter from the local puskesmas.

"There needs to be a letter of recommendation from the local puskesmas or kelurahan so that it can be treated in an independent isolation flat in Kemayoran," he said.
