Stones Of The Viral Car Ridden By Mother And Toddler In Menteng Finally Peace

JAKARTA - The case of car vandalism in the Tugu Proklamasi area, Menteng, Central Jakarta, which had gone viral, was finally resolved in a familial manner. The two sides chose to reconcile.

"They finally chose peace, they were laughing with each other too," said Menteng Metro Police Chief AKBP Guntur Muhammad Thariq, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 10.

Guntur said the owner of the Pajero Dakkar car, namely the mother with the initials SK and the owner of the Avanza car, namely LFA, agreed to make peace. Both of these cars were damaged.

Guntur said the car damage that occurred at the Proclamation Monument was only the peak part that was seen by citizens until it ended up going viral. In fact, if viewed from the chronology of the incident, it was the SK that was called the police to start the conflict.

"At first it was precisely because the driver of the SK car had hit the rearview mirror. He hit the rearview mirror of the LFA car. The initial incident was they were from Matraman. Initially they wanted to mediate but the mother (SK) panicked. Finally the SK car ran away, then her mother screamed, "said Guntur.

The rearview mirror hit by the driver of the SK car occurred because the car belonging to the LFA nearly grazed the SK car when it was going fast and stopped at a traffic light intersection.

The irritated SK car driver suddenly opened the glass and hit the LFA car's rearview mirror until it broke.

"When the mediation was about to take place, the woman (SK) shouted and asked to run away. The SK driver decided to leave. So an incident occurred at the Proclamation Monument," said Guntur.

LFA and other Avanza car passengers, HA and PFS, were about to approach SK's car to continue the mediation.

However, because SK was panicked and was in a state of caring for her child in the car, SK told the driver of the car to run again.

"Initially, the Avanza owner and his friends did not take the stone. So when they were approached, the car with the SK moved forward again and was about to hit them. Reflex because of the shock, there was a stone throwing incident," said Guntur.

Currently, it is confirmed that the problem of destroying their second car has been resolved and has ended peacefully. "The two of them agreed to mutually compensate each other for losses," he said.
