Corruption Eradication Commission Summons Ministry Of Finance Civil Servants For Alleged Corruption In Tabanan Regency Regional Incentive Fund Management

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned three civil servants from the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) as witnesses to alleged corruption in the administration of the Regional Incentive Fund (DID) in Tabanan Regency, Bali. They will be examined by investigators today or Wednesday, February 16.

"Today is the examination of witnesses and cases of alleged corruption in the management of the Regional Incentive Fund (DID) of Tabanan Regency, Bali," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, February 16.

The three civil servants of the Ministry of Finance who were summoned were the Head of Sub-Directorate of the Physical II Special Allocation Fund (DAK) Yudi Sapto Pranowo; Head of Section at Sub-Directorate. Regional Financial Data Eko Nur Subagyo; and Staff at the Head of Grant Allocation, Emergency Fund, and DID Anton Widowanto.

In addition, KPK investigators also summoned another witness, namely the Executive Director of the State Financial Studies Center (Pusaka Negara), Prasetiyo. Thus, a total of four witnesses were examined.

It is not yet known what material the investigators are investigating on the witnesses who have been summoned. However, the four of them are suspected of knowing the alleged corruption that is being investigated by the KPK.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admits that it is conducting an investigation related to alleged riots related to the process of administering incentive funds in Tabanan Regency, Bali.

Investigators have even conducted searches in a number of locations such as the PUPR office, Bappelitbang, Tabanan Regional Finance Agency, DPRD, as well as the residences of parties related to the case.

Although it has admitted that it is investigating the alleged bribery, the Corruption Eradication Commission has not disclosed the suspects and the modus operandi. The complete information on the results of this investigation will be conveyed in its entirety if there is sufficient evidence and forced detention efforts are made.
