JCI Fell 5 Percent To 4,800, IDX Temporarily Suspended Trading
JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) fell by 5 percent in trading ahead of this afternoon or to be precise at 10:36, Thursday, September 10. The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) also temporarily suspended (trading halt) trading.
"We hereby inform you that today, Thursday, September 10, 2020 there has been a temporary freeze in trading (trading halt) of the trading system on the Indonesia Stock Exchange at 10:36:18 JATS time which was triggered by a 5 percent drop in the JCI," explained a written statement IDX.
This is carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Board of Directors of the Indonesia Stock Exchange Number: Kep-00024 / BEI / 03-2020 dated March 10, 2020 regarding Changes in Guidelines for Trading Continuity on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in Emergency Conditions.
"Trading will be resumed at 11:06:18 JATS time without any changes to the trading schedule," explained the IDX.
Before being terminated, as many as 28 stocks rose, 423 stocks fell, and 83 stocks were stagnant. In the last two days, JCI was indeed in a weakening trend, where last Tuesday, JCI was still at the level of 5,100's.
