Boarding House Suspected Of Being A Place For Online Prostitution Raided, 5 Women Arrested
MEDAN - Police raided a boarding house suspected of being a place for online prostitution by employing underage prostitutes in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra.
The raid was led by the Kisaran City Police Chief, Iptu Joy Ananda Putra Sianipar, who said the raid was carried out by officers entering the location and pretending to be guests.
At the location, the undercover police immediately received an offer from a woman with the initials LSH alias mami.
"There the pimps offer women sex workers, with rates ranging from Rp. 300 thousand to Rp. 1 million per short time on the spot," said Iptu Joy, Tuesday, February 15.
After the undercover officer agreed to the rate offered, the pimp demanded payment up front. Muncikari asked for Rp600 thousand for 2 sex workers.
"In the raid, officers arrested 19 people, consisting of 5 women, including 1 mother, 4 sex workers. Then 14 men who are suspected of being given jobs," he explained.
From the results of the examination, LSH perpetrators who are suspected of pimping from female sex workers, receive Rp. 50 thousand to R 100 thousand from each sex worker who serves guests.
"The other 4 women are people who are employed as female sex workers who sell themselves directly or on MeChat," continued Iptu Joy.
Meanwhile, 14 men were arrested, 9 of whom are residents of Lombok, NTB. It is suspected that they are being lured by work.
"For the other 5 men who often come to hang out at the location," he explained.
Currently, the 19 people who have been detained are still being investigated by the Kisaran City Police.
