9 West Sumatra DPRD Members Submit Resignation To Advance Pilkada
PADANG - Nine members of the West Sumatra DPRD (West Sumatra) submitted their resignation as members of the council. The nine members of the council will run for the 2020 regional elections simultaneously.
West Sumatra DPRD Chairman Supardi said that the submission letter for the resignation of the nine people had been received. His party is waiting for a decision from the West Sumatra KPU to determine a candidate for interim replacement (PAW).
Reported by Antara, Wednesday, September 9, the nine members of the West Sumatra DPRD who resigned, starting from Darman Sahladi, came from the Democrat faction who were running as regent candidates in the 50 Cities Regional Election.
Then Benny Utama and Patient AS who became the candidate pair for regent and deputy regent candidates in the Pasaman Regional Election. Then Hamdanus from the PKS faction ran as a candidate for deputy regent in the Pesisir Selatan Pilkada
Furthermore, a member of the West Sumatra DPRD from the Golkar faction, Zafaruddin Dt. Bandaro Rajo (Golkar), ran as a candidate for district head in the 50 City Pilkada.
After that, a member of the West Sumatra DPRD from the Gerindra faction Tri Suryadi ran as a candidate for district head in the Padang Pariaman Pilkada. Meanwhile Andri Warman from the PAN faction ran as a candidate for district head in the Agam regional election. Then members of the West Sumatra DPRD from the PAN faction Yosrizal stepped forward as deputy regent in the Dharmasraya Pilkada.
West Sumatra DPRD Secretary Raflis said the nine members had submitted their resignations to the DPRD Secretariat.
Meanwhile for the Inter-Time Change (PAW) process at the West Sumatra DPRD, it will wait for the decree from the KPU and after the SK is issued from the KPU, it will stop by regulation.
"The KPU proposes names to the DPRD legislative candidates after those who resign, by attaching an official report on the vote acquisition from the same party and electoral district," he said.
