SM Entertainment Will Open An Institute To Learn To Be A K-pop Idol
JAKARTA - The SM Entertainment agency together with Jongro Haneul Education will establish the SM Institute (SMI), an institution that focuses on the field of learning for people who want to become K-pop idols.
It's not new if the K-pop industry is now well known throughout the world. This grand achievement became the basis for SM Entertainment to provide education about K-pop culture and Korean culture as a whole.
Those who are home to K-pop groups such as Super Junior, SHINee, Girls Generation, EXO, Red Velvet, and NCT have successfully launched K-pop stars abroad.
In addition, they will provide four-language learning courses: Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese - for international and local students who want to become global stars.
SM, who founded the model agency ESteem, also brings stars and experts in the entertainment field to broaden the knowledge of aspiring stars. According to Soompi, Wednesday, September 9, SM Entertainment will provide lessons both online and in person.
“To become a pop artist, it takes hours to practice. The result is that many trainees have given up on their education. ”
“SMI will use education and content to support students so that they don't have to sacrifice their education to become global stars. In fact, they can explore any options with their talents, ”said Choi Jin Young, president of SMI.
SMI will start accepting applications in October for the first class starting in March 2021. They accept students from South Korea and abroad.
In the future, they have plans to build an international branch to become a pioneer in building an education business. Are you interested in registering?
