Motorcyclist In Ojol Jacket, Snatches Wallet And Cellphone Belonging To The Elderly In Kebon Jeruk
JAKARTA - A man riding a motorcycle in an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) was caught on CCTV carrying out a mugging action against a female pedestrian on Jalan Zakaria, North Sukabumi, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
The incident occurred when the road situation at the crime scene (TKP) was deserted. Perpetrators are free to carry out their actions without being noticed by residents.
The video was also uploaded to the @lensa_berita_jakarta Instagram account. In the video, the suspect is driving his motorbike from behind the victim.
At that time, the victim named Mariam (54) was walking alone while carrying a bag containing valuables in her right hand.
In the CCTV video obtained on Sunday, February 13, the perpetrator carried out the robbery in less than one minute. As a result, Mariam's valuables were stolen by the snatcher.
The snatcher fled on his motorbike. Mariam tried to catch the snatcher but her efforts failed.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police, AKP M Trisno, confirmed the information. Trisno said the incident had been reported to the Kebon Jeruk Police.
"It's true, it happened on Friday, February 11. At that time the victim was walking alone to go home," Trisno said when confirmed by reporters, Sunday, February 13.
As a result of that incident, Mariam lost money worth Rp. 1 million, wallet and ID card and valuables as well as Vivo brand cellphone.
The police are currently investigating the crime scene (TKP). A total of three witnesses were also examined for the incident.
"We have also checked a number of CCTVs to uncover the case," he said.
