The Military Commander Reveals The Cruelty Of TNI Personals In Ciracas, Citizens Stabbed To The Whirlwind
JAKARTA - Pangdam Jaya, Maj. Gen. Dudung Abdurachman, revealed that there were hundreds of reports of residents who were victims behind the attack on the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta. Some residents reported being mistreated.
"As of 7 September 2020. There were 119 reporters consisting of 117 people and 2 members of the police," Dudung told reporters, Wednesday, September 9.
From that report, 23 residents were victims of persecution. Starting from the light to heavy persecution by unscrupulous members of the TNI.
"From the recapitulation of the number of complaints, there were 23 victims of physical abuse. This was in the form of stabbing, then beatings, then stabbing, and there were also people who had been beaten and then collapsed and were still being crushed using motorbikes," said Dudung.
Meanwhile, 109 other reports were related to vandalism. TNI officers from various units broke the windows of the residents' vehicles and looted the food of the traders.
"There were materials such as broken glass merchants, then food was taken. There was even a meatball cart that was overthrown," said Dudung.
As a result of the brutality of these TNI personnel, the community suffered losses of up to hundreds of millions. This loss was borne first by the leadership of the TNI AD.
"The total amount of compensation that has been paid directly to the community is a total of Rp. 596,744,000. This is temporarily resolved by the leadership of the Indonesian Army which basically will later be borne by the perpetrators," said Dudung.
