Civil Service Police Unit Acts Residents Do Not Wear Masks In BKT Duren Sawit Area
JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) held an orderly operation of masks along the Banjir Kanal Timur (BKT) area, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.
From the results of the search, officers still found several residents who did not comply with health protocols. That is not wearing a mask.
They were also given social sanctions by the Satpol PP officer Duren Sawit. In fact, the raids also targeted motorcyclists who did not wear masks when crossing the location.
"The (mask strap) broke, earlier, sir, it broke at the gas station. That's why instead of not wearing a mask. Wearing a mask but breaking it", said Faisal, one of the motorcyclists caught in the raid, Sunday, February 13.
Despite being punished, Faisal did not give up. He even considered that he was not so sure about the COVID-19 virus.
"No one has been hit yet, so it's not really scary (not wearing a mask). No (ever had COVID-19). I don't believe (COVID-19)", he said.
After getting sanctioned for sweeping the park, Faisal was given a mask by the officers.
In addition to looking for motorcyclists who did not comply with the health protocol, the Satpol PP also dispersed a crowd of cyclists resting on the roadside bridge in the BKT area, Duren Sawit area.
From observations in the field, it can be seen that there are crowds of residents who are exercising in the BKT area. Not even a few residents are ignorant by not wearing masks.

"We are carrying out monitoring of health protocol control in the Banjir Kanal Timur (BKT) area with the target being people who exercise. People who exercise must follow the rules and regulations of the procedure to wear masks", he said at the location.
Violators of masks are given sanctions by Governor's Regulation Number 3 of 2021.
"We impose social sanctions on residents who do not wear masks. The second target is people who are active this morning, motorcyclists and others. Please do sports but don't crowd", he said.
