Paguyuban In Garut Edit Head Of Garuda-Print Own Money, 6 Witnesses Are Questioned By The Police

GARUT - The Garut Police examined 6 witnesses related to the Rahayu Singles Association, who changed the position of the Garuda Pancasila bird's head and printed its own money.

"We from the Garut Police are working on the Tunggal Rahayu organization, this organization went viral about two days ago. From there we carried out an investigation, we examined 6 witnesses, "said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Garut Police, AKP Maradona Armin Mappaseng, Wednesday, September 9.

The six witnesses questioned were the sub-district head, village head and 4 former members of the Rahayu Singles Association.

Apart from examining witnesses, the police also secured a number of documents related to the Tunggal Rahayu organization. Also examined the structure of members and management of Tunggal Rahayu.

"We have also secured several documents including requests for organizational submissions and documents related to the composition of members in the organization," explained Maradona.

From a provisional check, the police confirmed that members had to use their own printed money.

"It is true that there is a valid use of money among their group," he said.

Paguyuban Tunggal Rahayu in Garut Regency, West Java, caused a stir by changing the Garuda Pancasila as the logo of its organization. The head of the Garuda Pancasila that should be facing to the right has been changed to the front.

"Currently, we are still exploring how the movement is, what is certain is that the results in their field have changed the emblem of our country, namely the eagle," said Head of the National and Political Unity Agency (Bakesbangpol) Garut Regency, Wahyudijaya, Tuesday, September 8.

According to him, Paguyuban Tunggal Rahayu has activities in Caringin District, Garut. However, this association moved to Cisewu District.

According to Wahyudijaya, the members of this association are scattered in several regions and even carry out organizational activities outside Garut such as in Cianjur, Majalengka, Bandung and Tasikmalaya districts.

Wahyudijaya emphasized that the state symbol should not be changed. The Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs also regulates that community organizations may not use the state symbol, flag and other attributes for the organization's logo.

Wahyudijaya emphasized that the organization was not registered with Bakesbangpol Garut. Even the notary deed of the association does not yet exist. Therefore, the local district government will process it legally.
