Attorney General's Office Again Examining Pinangki Today
JAKARTA - Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari, a suspect in the alleged bribery of the Supreme Court (MA) fatwa processing against Djoki Tjandra, is scheduled to undergo questioning on Wednesday, September 9. This examination will take place at the Attorney General's Office.
"Yes, there is an examination today. Pinangki is being examined as a suspect," said Pinangki's lawyer, Kresna Hutauruk, to VOI, Wednesday, September 9.
The investigation was not carried out by the Directorate of Corruption Crime, Bareskrim Polri. But by investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
"So it was from the AGO. Suddenly it was called (for investigation)," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the plan to examine his client by Bareskrim, Kresna said that the agenda was canceled. But there is no mention of the reason behind it. "Yes (canceled). AGO examination," he briefly.
Previously, Karo Penmas, the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that further investigation on Pinangki would be carried out next week. Because, Pinangki asked to be stopped because he admitted to being tired.
"The person concerned (Pinangki Sirna Malasari) asked to stop the investigation, and agreed to continue on Wednesday (September 9) next week," Awi told reporters, Jakarta, Thursday, September 3.
Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari has been named a suspect by the Attorney General for allegedly accepting bribes related to the fatwa so that Djoko Tjandra is not executed in the Bank Bali cessie case at the Supreme Court.
The AGO suspects that Pinangki received a bribe worth 500 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp7 billion from Djoko Tjandra. In this case, the Attorney General's Office has also appointed Djoko Tjandra as the bribe giver. Most recently, the AGO has named Andi Irfan Jaya as a suspect in relation to the agreement in the MA fatwa.
