Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Hit By COVID-19 Storm, More Than 1,100 ASN Exposed To Omicron

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) Andap Budhi Revianto revealed that 1,155 staff in various regions were positively infected with the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

"I convey my sympathy to colleagues who have been positively exposed to COVID-19, may they recover quickly and be given strength and health as usual by God Almighty," said Andap Budhi Revianto in Jakarta, Friday, February 11, quoted from Antara.

With this 'storm', the Ministry of Law and Human Rights did three things. First, greet ASN, develop telemedicine and issue a Circular (SE) on Tightening the COVID-19 Protocol.

In his virtual greeting to the ranks of ASN at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Andap gave a number of tips so that those who were exposed to the Omicron variant could recover quickly.

To deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, all ASN of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, especially those who are infected, are asked to apply three things, namely optimism for recovery, discipline in implementing health protocols and praying to God.

"Optimistic, disciplined and pray to God," said Andap.

With so many employees of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights being exposed to COVID-19, Andap appealed to all leaders within the agency to pay attention and regularly monitor the health conditions of employees.

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights has also developed telemedicine services in each region to facilitate monitoring and handling of employee health without having to be present at the office.

The issuance of SE Number SEK-5.OT.02.02 of 2022 concerning the 25th Extension of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Kemenkumham Java and Bali Region is expected to reduce the risk of employees being exposed to COVID-19.

In the SE, in addition to tightening the implementation of health protocols, it also regulates the postponement of all official travel until February 21, 2022. Every physical visit activity is replaced with online communication and avoids inviting large crowds.

"Employee safety is the highest law," he said.
