VIDEO: Incompatible With Human Rights, This Is The Reason Jakarta Legal Aid Institute Demands Anies To Revoke Ahok's Regulation On Evictions

JAKARTA - Twenty-seven communities affected by eviction along with dozens of civil society organizations who are members of the People's Coalition Against Eviction, visited the DKI Jakarta Governor's office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (10/2). They asked for the revocation of Pergub DKI Jakarta number 207 of 2016 which legitimizes forced evictions. City hall building security officers immediately asked representatives of dozens of masses who are members of the people's coalition to reject the eviction who wanted to submit a letter to the Governor of DKI Jakarta. The plan to deliver the letter was in vain because they were refused entry into the building. Because the Governor of DKI Jakarta was not found, the crowd dispersed. Watch the full video below.
