SEMARANG - The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police (Central Java) Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy confirmed that no residents of Wadas Village, Purworejo Regency who had been detained at the local police station were named as suspects.

According to him, as many as 66 Wadas residents who were previously detained have been repatriated entirely.

As for the circulation of fake news containing provocative uploads about the Wadas incident on social media, he said, police investigators have started an investigation.

Previously, as many as 66 residents of Wadas Village, Purworejo Regency, Central Java were arrested during tensions in the process of measuring the land for the Bener Dam project on Tuesday. , February 8 have been returned to their respective homes.

According to Iqbal, the repatriation of dozens of residents is a form of realization of the promise of the Regional Police Chief and the Governor of Central Java.

The condition of Wadas Village today, he said, was relatively conducive.
