Majority Of Jakartans Satisfied With Anies' Populi Survey's Performance, Taufik Gerindra Claims Thanks To His Party
JAKARTA - The results of the Populi Center survey stated that the majority of Jakarta residents were satisfied with the performance of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for more than four years in charge.
Deputy Chairperson of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Mohamad Taufik, said that Anies' success in the eyes of his citizens was influenced by the role of his party as the bearer of Anies since the 2017 DKI Pilkada until now.
"Gerindra has played a role in Pak Anies' success in Jakarta. It can't be denied. It's Pak Anies who carried Gerindra. That's how effective it is, you know," said Taufik when contacted, Thursday, February 10.
Looking at the results of the Populi Center survey, Gerindra stated that many acknowledged that Anies had succeeded in carrying out his program while leading the capital city. So, according to Taufik, those who still criticize Anies often do not see it objectively.
"Indeed, we have to admit that the performance is good. What is the evidence? The pooling is reduced, the time is reduced. That's proof that there are still people who say stupid things like this, they don't want to see the objective," he said.
For information, the Populi Center released a poll regarding Anies' satisfaction in Jakarta. When asked about the level of satisfaction with the current leadership of the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI, in general the level of satisfaction is relatively high.
73.3 percent of the public felt satisfied with the performance of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, while those who answered were not satisfied by 14.5 percent. The public who answered normally on the performance of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government were 11.2 percent, and those who answered they didn't know/didn't answer were 1.0 percent.
The Populi Center survey was conducted from January 26 to February 1, 2022 with a sample of respondents spread proportionally in 60 urban villages in DKI Jakarta.
The survey was conducted through face-to-face or face-to-face interviews. An initial sample of 600 was selected at random (multistage random sampling) with a margin of error for the survey with an estimated sample size of ± 4 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
