Komjak Calls The Pinangki Prosecutor's Case Not Touching On The Telephone Of Former Jamintel To Djoko Tjandra
JAKARTA - The head of the Attorney General's Commission (Komjak), Barita Simanjuntak, said that the title of the case held by the Attorney General's Office did not discuss the communication of the former Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) at the AGO Jan S Maringka with Djoko Tjandra. The case title focuses on discussing the alleged bribery of the Supreme Court (MA) fatwa arrangement.
"Of course we do not respond here. Because it is true that we have asked for information, but because we have a separate section with the current exposure case. So it has been done, but we do not respond to it," Barita told reporters on Tuesday. 8 September.
Barita only emphasized that his party had asked for information from former Jamintel Jan Maringka. The examination was based on Komjak's duties and authority. Meanwhile, regarding the case title, Komjak hopes that the further investigation process can be objective.
"What is clear is that we have asked for information regarding the duties and authorities of the commission. We hope that this case will improve its handling and public expectations can be achieved," said Barita.
Former Jamintel Jan Maringka previously claimed to have called Djoko Tjandra while on the run. Jan Maringka made two calls to Djoko Tjandra when he was still Jamintel.
"It is true that we have asked for information from those concerned and those in question have already submitted information last Thursday. The point is communicating on July 2 and 4, if I'm not mistaken," said Barita, Monday, September 7.
Jan Maringka in his statement admitted that he only asked Djoko Tjandra to surrender. At that time, Djoko Tjandra was still a fugitive in the case of the transfer of claim rights to Bank Bali.
"The point is that based on the information concerned the communication was carried out in the context of an intelligence operation to order the convicted person to be fugitive at that time, Joko Tjandra, to carry out and carry out the court's decision and be executed," said Barita.
