Update On COVID-19 Per 8 September: Accumulated Cases Translucent 200,035
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 32,643 specimens were examined, the result was 3,046 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 200,035 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, September 8.
Today's cases recovered increased by 2,306, so that a total of 142,958 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 100 people and a total of 8,230 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,014 new cases and a total of 48,393 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by East Java which has 401 new cases with a total of 36,342 cases. West Java with 336 new cases and a total of 13,045 cases. Central Java with 237 new cases and a total of 15,852 cases. Then, Bali has 164 new cases and a total of 6,549 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 929 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 342 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 148 recovered cases, and Bali with an additional 114 recovered cases.
Then, there are two provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces are Jambi and Central Kalimantan.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 2,484,807. In detail, a total of 2,439,611 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 45,196 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 13.9 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 90,952 people. Currently, 489 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
