Remembers Yahya Muhaimin, Chairman Of PAN: We Lost A Supporting Example
JAKARTA - PAN General Chairman Zulkifli Hasan expressed his deep sorrow over the death of former Minister of National Education, Yahya Muhaimin at the Geriatric Hospital, Purwokerto, Central Java.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun. I and the large family of the National Mandate Party are so saddened by the passing of Prof. Dr. Yahya Muhaimin. Muhammadiyah figure, Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia from 1999 to 2001, "said Zulkifli Hasan, Wednesday, February 9.
The Deputy Chairman of the MPR also remembered Yahya Muhaimin who is a figure of parents, seniors and family close to PAN, who often gave advice and inspiration to PAN.
According to him, Yahya is an exemplary figure who with the height of knowledge that he has always shows a character that starts, is humble, protects and guides the young.
“His passing was a loss that left grief for all of us,” Zulhas said.
Zulhas hopes that the achievements and example set by the deceased during his life can be followed. "And his unfulfilled ideals for the nation and country can continue the struggle," explained Zulhas.
Zulhas admitted that he had visited Yahya in Bumiayu at the end of last year. In the short meeting, he said, Yahya was still very enthusiastic about discussing the issues of the nation and country.
"Especially the mandate of the constitution to enlighten the life of the nation," he said.
Zulhas said, at that time, even though he was sick and it was difficult to walk, Yahya was still able to give the group to always be enthusiastic and keep fighting.
"Once again, PAN's large family is sad to be left behind by its leader. May Allah SWT forgive his sins, illuminate and open his grave, place him in the best place by His side," he said.
"We also extend our deepest condolences to the families left behind, may they be given perseverance and sincerity. Lahul fatihah," said Zulkifli Hasan.
