Vogg Reveals Involvement In Machine Head's New Album
JAKARTA - Polish guitarist Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka (Decapitated) spoke to Metal 101 about his experience playing with Machine Head frontman, Robb Flynn.
Vogg joined the band's touring line-up ahead of the launch of its "Burn My Eyes" 25th anniversary tour in late 2019.
"It was a pleasure to join this band and it was great to be a part of them. I did two tours with them - a European tour and a United States tour - and it was amazing; it was a great experience," Vogg said.
Vogg then talked about Machine Head's new album, which is planned for this summer. He said he was happy to be a part of the album.
"I did some riffs for two songs and I did some solo parts," continued Vogg.
"I have to say this album is amazing, and Robb and Jared (MacEachern, bass) are doing an amazing job. It's going to be a really strong album and a really great comeback with new songs and production. The production is amazing."
The follow-up to Catharsis (2018) will include three songs featured in last summer's single, Arrows In Words From The Sky, namely Become The Firestorm, Rotten and Arrows In Words From The Sky.
Earlier this month, MacEachern said Machine Head's upcoming album was epic and described it as a truly great journey, heavy, beautiful, melodic, raging and thrashing at the same time.
Most of the songs on Machine Head's new album were recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California with producer Zack Ohren.
