Accused Of Receiving 'sustenance' For The IKN Project, Conglomerate Hashim Djojohadikusumo Prabowo's Younger Brother: I Was Surprised And Disappointed, Faisal Basri Kroscek Should Have Come To Me First
JAKARTA - The younger brother of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, has spoken about his name, which is said to have received 'sustenance' from the State Capital (IKN) project in East Kalimantan. He said he was shocked and disappointed by the accusations.
"I am surprised and disappointed that my name is mentioned as if I am part of the oligarchy, as if it continues to get sustenance from the government, gets project sharing from the government and as if this is part of a political deal between Pak Prabowo Subianto and Pak Jokowi so that Pak Prabowo (want to be) withdrawn or welcomed as part of the government," he said at a virtual press conference, Tuesday, February 8.
Hashim explained that in 2007, his party had purchased 265,000 hectares (ha) of land near Balikpapan. Where, in it there is also a small port of teak trees covering an area of 450 ha.
Then in 2013, Hashim continued, his party released 93,000 ha to the community and the local government.
"I released it to the community without getting any compensation," he said.
In 2015, Hashim said his party was developing a reforestation project or forest replanting with an intercropping scheme. The rest of the land he owns is planted with various types of trees. Hashim said his party is also developing a clean water project to be able to flow clean water to a number of cities in East Kalimantan.
"For industries, including industries that will be established by my group. We also want to propose to other industries there is a Pertamina refinery, a paper factory, a palm oil factory, all of which require clean, clear water," he explained.
Hashim said that in developing the clean water project, his party also decided to appoint a consulting company from the Netherlands to conduct a feasibility study in 2016. The study was conducted to determine whether the land it owns is feasible or not to build a large clean water project in East Kalimantan.
"The feasibility study shows that the clean water project in East Kalimantan is very feasible, feasible, and very buildable. The purpose of my clean water project in 2016 is to supply water to the cities of Balikpapan, Samarinda, Bangun City, Tenggarong, North Penajam Paser Regency and surrounding areas. ," he explained.
Therefore, Hashim regretted the accusations made by Senior Economist Faisal Basri. Where Faisal said the government had distributed sustenance to figures who were said to be involved in the big IKN Nusantara project, one of which was Hashim Djojohadikusumo.
According to Hashim, as an economy scientist, Faisal should be able to check or ask him directly about this.
"I can say that it is a lie. This is a huge lie, also a slander in my opinion, there is no political deal. It is a clean water project solely to serve the needs of the people of East Kalimantan, at the request of the people of East Kalimantan," he said.
Hashim also emphasized that the business and land that he owns have nothing to do with his brother, Prabowo Subianto.
"The land belongs to his sister. Not necessarily my business, my brother also has to," he said.
