Mayor Of Makassar Again Positive For COVID-19
MAKASSAR - Mayor of Makassar Moh Ramdhan Pomanto announced that he was again infected with COVID-19 based on the results of the RT-PCR examination that came out on Monday, February 7 evening.
"After my Sunday activity, later that night, I had a high fever and severe complaints in my throat, then I did a PCR swab, the results came out positive Monday night," he said in Makassar, Tuesday.
"I urge anyone who has seen me in the past three or four days to immediately check at the puskesmas, clinic, or hospital so that they can find out their health condition," he added.
Corona virus infection did not cause severe symptoms to the Mayor, therefore he was only undergoing self-isolation at home with his family under the supervision of health workers. The mayor explained that according to the results of the examination using the RT-PCR method, his CT score was 33, higher than the CT score he had when he first contracted COVID-19 last year, which was 13.
The lower the CT value, the more likely the number of viruses in the body will be and the higher the CT value, the less virus will be in the body.
"I'm here to convey, completing doses one and two in vaccination will be very useful. As I experienced in the second COVID-19, my CT value was 33 and the first for COVID-19, my CT value was 13 and it was really heavy. first," said the mayor.
He also stressed the importance of adherence to health protocols to minimize the risk of transmitting COVID-19.
