Entering PPKM Level 3, Non-essential Offices In Jakarta Must Limit WFO To 25 Percent

JAKARTA - There has been a tightening of the capacity for non-essential office activities in Jakarta in line with the increase in the PPKM assessment level to Level 3. This is valid from 8 to 14 February 2022.

In the previous PPKM Level 2, the capacity of employees to work in the office or work from office (WFO) non-essential offices was 50 percent. At Level 3 now, WFO is limited to a maximum of 25 percent of employees.

This is stated in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 09 of 2022 concerning PPKM Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 COVID-19 in the Java and Bali Region issued by Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.

"The implementation of activities in the non-essential sector is subject to a maximum of 25 percent WFO for employees who have been vaccinated and are required to use the PeduliLindung application at the entrance and exit of the workplace," Tito wrote in the Ministry of Home Affairs quoted on Tuesday, February 8.

Meanwhile, the capacity of employees in essential offices is limited to 50 percent. Especially for export-oriented and domestic industries, they can continue to operate 100 percent provided that they have IOMKI and at least 75 employees have been vaccinated with the second dose and use PeduliLindung.

Meanwhile, critical office activities at PPKM Level 3 can still operate 100 percent of the staff.

For information, the PPKM Level 3 rules in Java-Bali are more or less the same as before. However, the government made a number of regulatory adjustments.

The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, at the PPKM evaluation press conference yesterday, revealed that the adjustment of this rule was considered from the characteristics of the distribution of the Omicron variant which was different from the Delta variant in mid-2021.

"Faced with the characteristics of the Omicron variant which are different from the Delta variant, the Government made several adjustments to the Level 3 regulation with a more targeted tightening policy for the elderly, comorbid and unvaccinated groups," said Luhut.

In this adjustment, supermarkets can operate until 21.00 and a maximum of 60 percent of visitors. Meanwhile, the people's market can operate until 20.00 and a maximum of 60 percent of visitors.

The mall operates until 21.00 with a maximum visitor capacity limitation of 60 percent for children less than 12 years old, with a minimum of the first dose of vaccine.

Then, children's playgrounds and entertainment venues can be opened up to a maximum of 35 percent with the mandatory obligation of proof of the first dose of vaccination for children under 12 years old.

Warteg or snack stalls can be opened until 21.00 WIB with a maximum of 60 percent of visitors. Restaurants or cafes can also be opened for a maximum of 60 percent of visitors until 21.00.

Cinemas will still be open, with children under 12 years old allowed in but must have received the first dose of vaccination.
