Pangdam Jaya, Major General Untung Budiharto, said that his party would increasingly routinely hold surprise inspections (sidak), check and monitor hotels, isolation areas, and arrival terminals to ensure the quarantine is running according to the rules.

Untung also said that his party would also conduct unannounced inspections of a number of quarantine locations suspected of violating the rules with the allegation of discretion to relax quarantine.
"It has been ordered by Mr. {resident and minister, we do not issue any more discretion for that. So, we will finalize the existing regulations," he said.
Inspections at places where violations are suspected, Untung added, will be carried out regularly, whether there are reports or not.
"And yes, if any violations are found, we will take action," said Untung.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment as well as the Coordinator of PPKM Java and Bali Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that a number of agglomeration areas, including Jabodetabek, had PPKM increased to level three.
"Based on the current level of assessment, we convey that the agglomeration of Jabodetabek, DI Yogyakarta, Bali, Bandung Raya, will go to level 3.
