Monday Rupiah Strengthened By 10 Points To Rp14,740 Per US Dollar

JAKARTA - The rupiah exchange rate on the spot market closed higher on Monday, September 7 trading. The rupiah closed up 0.07 percent or 10 points to a level of Rp14,740 per US dollar (US).

Until 15.00 WIB, the majority of currencies in Asia are in the green zone. The Chinese yuan became the region's biggest strengthening currency after gaining 0.13 percent.

Then, the Taiwan dollar and South Korean won both strengthened 0.12 percent against the US dollar. Next there is the Japanese yen, which has appreciated 0.05 percent.

Followed by the Thai baht which lifted 0.02 percent and the Hong Kong dollar which edged up 0.004 percent against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the Indian rupee became the currency with the deepest weakness in Asia after falling 0.35 percent. Then there is the Malaysian ringgit and the Philippine peso which both fell 0.10 percent.

Meanwhile, the Singapore dollar complements the currency in the red zone after a correction of 0.09 percent.
