The Ministry Of Finance Proposes A 2021 Budget Ceiling Worth IDR 43.31 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has proposed an additional budget in the 2021 indicative ceiling of IDR 43.31 trillion. This budget is lower than the proposed budget submitted in 2020 amounting to Rp.44.39 trillion.

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara said the proposed indicative ceiling amount was increased from the Joint Decree (SKB) between the Ministry of Finance and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), which amounted to IDR 42.36 trillion.

According to Suahasil, the Ministry of Finance's budget ceiling will be used for five programs, namely fiscal policy, management of state revenues, management of state expenditures, management of state treasury assets and risks, and finally management support.

"The five indicative ceiling programs are based on the SKB of the Minister of Finance and Bappenas of Rp. 42.369 trillion. In the course of further discussion there are adjustments so that it increases to Rp. 43.307 trillion," he said, during a working meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian Parliament in Jakarta, Monday, September 7.

Based on the source of the Ministry of Finance's budget ceiling funds for the 2021 fiscal year, it includes IDR 34.8 trillion in pure rupiah and IDR 8.5 trillion for public service agencies (BLU).

As for the details, the fiscal policy program rose to IDR65.69 billion, previously IDR60.04 billion. The state revenue management program increased to IDR 2.23 trillion from IDR 1.94 trillion.

Then, the state expenditure management program fell from IDR 34.67 billion to IDR 33.76 billion. The state treasury and risk management program also experienced a change from Rp248.61 billion to Rp233.74 billion.

Finally, the management support program increased to Rp. 40.08 trillion from Rp. 40.74 trillion.

"Management support is great because as support for salary management from here, the other activities are not Human Resources (HR), salaries for purchasing goods, but IT HR is here. The entire unit of every echelon I is there," he said.
