Minibus Car Caught Fire In Kembangan, Officers Sent Down Two Fire Trucks
JAKARTA – One minibus car was burned on Jalan Puri Indah Raya, RT 03/02, Kembangan Selatan Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta on Monday, February 7 morning. There were no fatalities in the accident.
Head of West Jakarta Sub-dept. of Fire and Rescue (Sudin Gulkarmat) Sjukri Bahanan said that his party had received reports since 07.20 WIB from local residents.
"We received reports from the public that there was a car fire at around 07.20 am. Residents reported it to the Development Sector," Sjukri Bahanan told reporters, Monday, February 7, afternoon.
After receiving the information, the West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. immediately dispatched two fire engines to douse the fire using water.
"Officers arrived at the location at 07.23 and immediately put out the fire. The fire was successfully extinguished at 07.39," he said.
There were no fatalities as a result of the car fire. After the extinguishing process is complete, firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.
"The alleged cause of the fire is still in the data collection process. Losses are also still being recorded," he said.
