Latest Updates On COVID-19, February 6: New Cases 36,057, Recovers Increase By 10,569

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 471,504 specimens were examined with the results of 36,057 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,516,480 people and active cases rose by 25,431 to 188,899 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, February 6.

Today's recovered cases increased by 10,569 cases, bringing the total to 4,183,027 recoveries. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 57 people and a total of 144,554 people.

Provinces with the highest new cases were 15,825 cases and a total of 980,970 cases. Followed by West Java with 7,603 new cases with a total of 765,499 cases. Banten has 4,649 new cases and a total of 169,237 cases. Then, East Java with 2,218 new cases and a total of 411,649 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 7,700 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 1,238 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 663 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 432 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 74,586,157.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 8.32 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 17,422 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 186,589,750 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 131,080,731 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 5,536,572. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
