Reza Artamevia Has Not Apply For Rehabilitation

JAKARTA - The police have not received the request for rehabilitation of Reza Artamevia, a suspect in the methamphetamine case. The police are still developing investigations into this drug case.

"The case is still ongoing and (examination) of witnesses. However, there has been no submission, we will definitely ask about the problem of rehabilitation. Investigators have not (received)," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Monday, September 7.

According to Kombes Yusri, the request for rehabilitation is the right of everyone. This is regulated in Article 54 of the Narcotics Law.

If a request for rehabilitation is submitted, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) will decide. The process is through an assessment.

"The assessment is waiting for 6 days at the soonest whether the person concerned can be rehabilitated or not. If rehabilitated, our reference is to the rehabilitation hospital in Pasar Friday," he said.

Reza Artamevia was arrested at a restaurant on Jalan Raya Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Friday, September 5. When he was arrested, Reza had just bought methamphetamine.

From this arrest, the police found evidence in the form of a crystal methamphetamine clip weighing 0.78 grams. When arrested Reza was with two of his colleagues.

However, the two people were not further processed because no evidence was found and the urine test results were negative. Meanwhile, for Reza, the results were proven to be proven to consume amphetamines.
