Weekend, 153 COVID-19 Patients In Sukabumi Regency Isolated
SUKABUMI - This weekend, the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Sukabumi Regency, West Java recorded that there were 153 confirmed local residents who had been isolated due to confirmed cases.
"On Saturday, there were 36 new cases added, all of which patients are self-isolating at home under the supervision of health workers from local health centers," said Public Relations of the Sukabumi Regency COVID-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling, Eneng Yulia, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 5.
According to Eneng, of the 153 patients who underwent isolation, 110 patients were isolated independently and the rest or 43 patients were isolated in a special COVID-19 room at a referral hospital in the Sukabumi area.
As for the tracing results, some of them have a history of traveling outside the region, then there are also those who are in close contact, have no travel history and some only know after conducting a health check, both PCR tests and antigens for travel requirements and others.
The spike in COVID-19 cases since the end of January until now has several causes, such as the decrease in citizen discipline in implementing health protocols, including not wearing masks, high mobility of residents such as traveling outside the area and finding cases during health checks to meet requirements.
The addition of new cases which is quite high is certainly a concern for his party and residents are also advised to return to discipline in implementing health protocols and not to travel outside the area, especially if there is nothing very important or urgent.
However, since the beginning of 2022 until now there have been no reports of COVID-19 patients who died and on Saturday seven patients who underwent isolation at the referral hospital were declared cured.
"Covid-19 cases may continue to increase and to suppress the increase in new cases, the key is in each individual citizen, which must be disciplined in implementing health protocols and not ignoring the presence of this deadly virus," he added.
The total number of COVID-19 patients since the discovery of the first case in Sukabumi Regency until now has reached 11,973 patients, 11,237 of whom have recovered, 153 are still undergoing isolation and 583 patients have died.
