East Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Will Reapply Micro PPKM
SAMARINDA - The COVID-19 Task Force in East Kalimantan Province will reactivate the Implementation of Micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) and health protocol monitoring activities at the village/kelurahan level, following the increase in COVID-19 cases in the local area.
"We will involve all relevant elements to promote health promotions and educational messages through various media that are widely accessed by the public," said East Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Task Force spokesman Andi Muhammad Ishak, quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 5.
The Coordination Meeting was chaired by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto virtually, with the speakers being Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, Secretary General of the Minister of Education and Culture Suharti, Deputy Attorney General Sunarta, Wasops Commander of the TNI, Assistant Chief of Police and Head of BNPB Major General TNI Suharyanto.
Andi Muhammad Ishak conveyed that the Coordination Meeting resulted in several decisions that became a mutual agreement, including the discipline of health protocols (prokes) must be tightened.
"The use of PeduliLindung in public spaces must be disciplined (a regulation is made in the regions)," said Andi.
In addition, COVID-19 detection for travelers from Jabodetabek through screening must be tightened and carried out by random testing.
Preparation of centralized isolation facilities, especially for asymptomatic (asymptomatic) and mild symptomatic (non-elderly and non-comorbid) patients who cannot self-isolate at home.
Also beds (TT) in hospitals (RS) need to be prepared with conversions of up to 50 percent of the total capacity of TT hospitals.
Furthermore, as an effort to minimize and reduce the effects of virus attacks for the elderly (elderly) and children, as well as prevention efforts, vaccination of the elderly and children needs to be accelerated.
Update on the development of COVID-19 in East Kalimantan, Saturday as of February 5, 2022, the number of residents of the Continent of Etam confirmed positive for corona 160 cases, a total of 159,269 cases, 137 people were treated, a total of 679 people, 23 patients recovered, a total of 153,133 people, and zero cases died.
