Daily Cases Of COVID-19 In Singapore Tripled

SINGAPORE - Singapore authorities on Friday 4 February reported a record 13,046 local COVID-19 cases which tripled from the previous day. Quoting Reuters, authorities recorded 85,357 cases over the past 28 days, but 99.7 percent of them were asymptomatic or only mildly symptomatic. .

The Singapore government has fully vaccinated 89 percent of their population, while 59 percent of the population has received a booster vaccine. Authorities have previously warned that daily cases of COVID-19 could jump to 15,000 due to the highly contagious variant of Omicron.
