30 Indonesian Military Academy Cadets Candidates In Magelang Positive For COVID-19
JAKARTA - The Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa received news that as many as 30 cadets (catar) for the Military Academy (Akmil) TNI were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
This was revealed by the Head of Health of the Diponegoro Regional Military Command (Kakesdam) IV Colonel Ckm Rusli in a meeting via teleconference from their respective offices.
"Of the 30 positive notes, we immediately isolated them at the Dr. Soedjono Hospital (Magelang, Central Java)," Rusli said in a video uploaded to the TNI AD YouTube, Sunday, September 6.
Rusli reported, until now the positive Akmil cadets have been treated at health facilities in Magelang. They are doing well, although some have mild symptoms.
"Until now, the cadets of Akmil are in good condition, although there are some with cold cough complaints that are getting better. We are doing another Swab on the seventh day, but the results have not come out," said Rusli.
Responding to this, Andika asked that the catar who was confirmed positive could get the right to continue the ongoing Akmil cadet selection process.
"Do not let them be harmed just because they are not there. Aspers Kasad will directly contact the central committee so that the records designated for Akmil can continue to participate in the selection without having to be harmed just because they are positive," said Andika.
Andika continued, the catars could participate in the selection which was carried out separately, when they were isolated during the healing process.
"They can still participate in the selection even though it is carried out separately, so that it does not harm their rights as cadet candidates," concluded Andika.
