Update On COVID-19 As Of 6 September: New Cases Of 3,444, Healing, 2,174
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 27,979 specimens were examined, the result was 3,444 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,176 new cases and a total of 46,333 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Furthermore, East Java has 303 new cases with a total of 35,634 cases. West Sumatra with 244 new cases and a total of 2,751 cases. Central Java with 233 new cases and a total of 15,351 cases. Then, South Sulawesi has 209 new cases and a total of 12,684 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 801 cases recovered. Followed by East Java with an increase of 364 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 184 recovered cases, and East Kalimantan with an increase of 177 recovered cases.
Then, there are 6 provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces are Jambi, Riau Islands, Central Sulawesi, North Maluku, Papua and West Sulawesi.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 2,433,752. In detail, 2,389,088 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 44,664 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 13.8 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 89,701 people. Currently, 489 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
