Indonesian Migrant Workers Are Positive For COVID-19 Now 1,158 People
JAKARTA - Head of Information for Kogabwilhan I Colonel Marine Aris Mudian said there were 1,158 repatriated Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) from abroad who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
"1,158 people were taken to the Emergency Hospital for COVID-19, Wisma Atlet after the results of the swab test stated that they were positive for COVID-19," said Aris.
The number of positive COVID-19 repatriation PMIs increased by 11 people compared to the figure originally reported on Saturday, namely 1,147 people.
COVID-19 testing continues to be carried out on every repatriated PMI who comes from abroad. The total number of repatriated PMIs who came from abroad reached 82,101 people.
Meanwhile, 78,428 of them have returned to their respective areas of origin because after being tested, they were negative for COVID-19.
Aris said 1,450 repatriated PMIs were isolated in the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.
In addition, 1,158 people were isolated because they were confirmed positive for COVID-19 based on a swab test, 292 others were taken to RSD Wisma Atlet Kemayoran because antibodies were declared reactive based on a rapid test.
The 292 people were quarantined at the Wisma Atlet Hospital Kemayoran because of the results of the reactive rapid test, namely:

- 14 PMI people came on July 14th
- 4 PMI people came on July 15th
- 2 PMI people came on July 16th
- 4 PMI people came on July 18th
- 1 PMI person came on July 21st
- 1 PMI person came on July 25th
- 5 PMI people came on July 26th
- 7 PMI people came on July 29th
- 52 PMI people came on July 30th
- 14 PMI people came on July 31st
- 2 PMI people came on August 1st
- 45 PMI people came on 2 August
- 28 PMI people came on August 3rd
- 24 PMI people came on August 3rd
- 38 PMI people came on August 4th
- 37 PMI people came on 5 August
- 4 PMI people came on 5 August
- 7 PMI people came on 6 August
- 2 PMI people came on August 7th
The government plans to use two towers at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital as a place for independent isolation for COVID-19 sufferers on Tuesday, September 8, namely Tower 4 and Tower 5.
Previously, Wisma Atlet Kemayoran had four towers that had functioned as an emergency hospital for handling mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms, namely in Towers 1, 3, 6, and 7.
Meanwhile, another PMI repatriation was quarantined at Wisma Pademangan, which is approximately five kilometers from Tower 1 of Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.
Aris said the PMI repatriation that is quarantined at Wisma Pademangan is now 1,930 people.
In addition, 293 repatriated PMIs were quarantined in a number of hotels and inns in the DKI Jakarta area.
"The number of PMI repatriation who are still quarantined in Jakarta is 3,673 people," said Aris.
