Mane And Salah Both Take Their Country To The 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations Final, Liverpool Are Confused About Who To Support
JAKARTA - The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final will feature an exciting duel between Egypt and Senegal. But, for Liverpool, the match actually caused a dilemma.
In the final, two of the Reds' heroes, namely Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, will 'kill each other' in order to present the trophy. Mane will be Senegal's mainstay on the front lines, while Salah has been plotted to be the focus of Egypt.
The Reds could not side with one of them, because the two players were indeed the club's champions.
Through the club's official Twitter account, Liverpool uploaded congratulations to Mane and Salah for successfully bringing their respective countries to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations final.
Despite uploading photos of Salah and Mane, Liverpool did not clearly support one of them. In response to this dilemma, the Reds finally chose a middle ground that was deemed fair.
Instead of siding with one of their champions, Jurgen Klopp's team chose to express pride in their two players. This was conveyed by Liverpool in the caption of the uploaded photo.
"Proud of you both," Liverpool wrote with a heart emoji.
