Mothers Gather Here! Mr. Minister Says 3 More Days The Most Expensive Cooking Oil Price Is Rp14,000
JAKARTA - The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi continues to make sure that the price of cooking oil can be more affordable for the general public. Recently, the Minister of Trade together with his staff made a visit to Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta to directly check price fluctuations and supply availability.
In his statement, he revealed that the highest retail price (HET) for cooking oil would be effective in the people's market in the next three to four days.
It is stated that based on the Minister of Trade Regulation Number 6 of 2022 concerning the Determination of the Highest Retail Price for Palm Cooking Oil, the HET for bulk cooking oil is Rp. 11,500/liter, simple packaged cooking oil of Rp. 13,500/liter, and premium packaged cooking oil of Rp. 14,000/liter. The regulation itself should have been implemented starting February 1, 2022.
“Today we see that cooking oil has been disbursed according to the highest retail price and is currently still in the adjustment process, so we can still find bulk oil prices that are still not in accordance with the HET. But in the next three to four days, this price will follow the set HET for cooking oil,” he said Thursday, February 3.
The Minister of Trade ensures that the supply of cooking oil to the people's market is well maintained and is considered to have met the needs of the community.
"The new supply of cooking oil that has been implemented by HET has mixed with the old supply in the market," he said.
After reviewing the Kramat Jati Market, Trade Minister Lutfi continued to inspect the cooking oil factory of PT Asianagro Agungjaya, Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta to ensure that the supply of CPO is going well to producers. Thus, producers can distribute cooking oil through distribution channels according to the government's HET.
