Borrowed Motorbikes Are Not Returned, Police Officers In Sunda Kelapa Are Arrested By The Authorities
JAKARTA - The head of the Sunda Kelapa Police, Kompol Seto Handoko Putra, confirmed that one of his members was arrested for being involved in embezzling a motorbike.
Seto said, the perpetrator with the initials SAI, was arrested in Muara Angke, Pejaringan, North Jakarta, Sunday, January 30, at 22.30 WIB.
"It's true that SAI was arrested, he was secured in the Muara Angke area," Seto said when confirmed, Thursday, February 3.
Seto explained that the incident began when SAI came to the victim, Sarumi (45) to borrow a motorbike to go to a friend's house in Muara Angke, North Jakarta, Sunday, January 30, at 22.00 WIB.
"The victim gave the motorbike keys and the motorbike was immediately embezzled by the perpetrators to the Banten area," said Seto.
But the motorbike borrowed by the perpetrators never came. Thus, the victim decided to report to the Sunda Kelapa Police, Wednesday, February 2, at 14.00 WIB.
Upon receiving the report, the Sunda Kelapa Police immediately launched an investigation. As a result, on Wednesday 2 February, at 20.30 WIB, SAI was successfully secured.
"The police secured evidence of one vehicle registration (victim) and an ignition key with the Honda logo. 1 piece of Gray Koko shirt," explained Seto.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with embezzlement as referred to in Article 372 of the Criminal Code which carries a threat of 4 years in prison.
