Akhyar Sarcastically Said about "The Gang", People Don't Want Medan to be Led by Inexperienced
JAKARTA - Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi has declared the candidacy for the mayor-deputy mayor of Medan, North Sumatra. Akhyar-Salman emphasized his desire to run for the Medan election.
"Ustadz Salman and I were born and raised in Medan. We both want to dedicate ourselves to the progress of this city," said Akhyar in the Medan election declaration in Sei Batang Hari, Medan, Friday, September 4.
In front of his supporters, Akhyar emphasized that he runs for Medan mayor because of the many requests from Medan residents. It is claimed that Akhyar residents do not want their city to be mismanaged.
"Many have asked us to move forward because they don't want this city to be led by people who are still trying to avoid mismanagement," he continued.
In the declaration, Akhyar also expressed his gratitude for the courage of PKS and PD. They are against those who wanted a single candidate in the Pilkada. In Medan, Akhyar-Salman will face Bobby Nasution-Aulia Rachman, who is supported by the PDIP, Gerindra, NasDem, Golkar, PAN, PSI as well as PPP.
"I, Akhyar Nasution and Salman Alfarisi would like to thank PKS and Democrats for their extraordinary courage in nominating Akhyar-Salman, even though there is a sweeping phenomenon out there. But we must appreciate the courage of the Democrats and PKS. The Democrats and PKS dare to take these extraordinary steps, dare to go against their way of not being together in a gang. I apologize to say a gang," said Akhyar.
On this day, the Bobby-Aulia pair registered their candidacy in Medan. Bobby stated that he is ready to compete with Akhyar, who is currently the Acting Mayor of Medan.
"We are preparing a program. Now, we agree in the community that we participate in. The political parties that support our talk about programs to make Medan better," Bobby told reporters in Medan.
Bobby wants the bureaucratic system in the Medan government to be improved. Besides, the development of MSMEs is also being intensified.
"We want to change the bureaucratic system. We clean up the bureaucracy. So, those traumatic things for Medan people won't happen again," he continued.
Meanwhile, regarding the urban landscape related to flooding, Bobby will collaborate with the North Sumatra Provincial Government and the central government in handling it.
"For flood handling, we must work together. Our concept is a collaboration with the provincial government and the central government," he said.
