Register With The KPU, Pramono Anung's Child Is Constrained By PAN Recommendations

JAKARTA - The registration file for the candidate pair for regent-vice regent of Kediri Hanindhito Himawan Pramono-Dewi Maria Ulfa was hampered by recommendations from PAN. This was conveyed by KPU Kediri, East Java.

"This is the obstacle to the SK B1-KWK (recommendation from the party) and the Decree of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham). There are differences. This is not only in Kediri but throughout Indonesia," said Kediri KPU chairman Ninik Sunarni as quoted by Antara, Kediri, Friday, September 4.

According to him, his party has conducted consultations with the KPU. The result was asked to wait for a decision. Moreover, this happened from the SK PAN which was given to candidates for regional head throughout Indonesia.

The KPU opens registration from 4-6 September 2020. On this first day, the pair registering are Dhito and Dewi Maria Ulfa. The pair wiped out all recommendations from the party. In fact, non-parliamentary parties also support this pair.

Even though it is possible for a single candidate to occur in the Kediri Regency Pilkada, the KPU is still opening registration according to schedule. In fact, if no one has registered until the last day of registration, an extension of registration will be carried out.

"We will remain open in accordance with the stages until September 6, 2020 at 24.00 WIB. After that, we decided, do a plenary and open registration again in the next three days. During the registration extension, we will socialize it through the media and political parties," he said.

He also emphasized that he could not yet make a decision on a single candidate, because registration had not yet been closed. Currently, registration is still on the first day.

Meanwhile, Hanindhito Himawan Pramono, who is the son of Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, said he was waiting for the KPU RI decision on party recommendations, because these differences in names occurred throughout Indonesia.

"If I wait for a decision from the Indonesian KPU. I appreciate PAN as the bearer, I really appreciate it because PAN is one of the first supporting parties," said Dhito.
