Cak Imin Absent At PBNU Events, PKB Refuses To Comment On Speculation Keep Your Distance From NU
JAKARTA - PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin was absent from the PBNU inauguration ceremony in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. Whereas in the previous management, Cak Imin was active in various PBNU events.
There are those who speculate that Cak Imin is disappointed with the new PBNU management. In fact, there are those who value PKB to keep their distance from NU.
In response to the speculation, the Deputy Chairperson of the PKB, Jazilul Fawaid, was reluctant to comment.
"Please, just another topic," said Jazilul when confirmed, Wednesday, February 2.
Previously, Esa Unggul University political communication observer M. Jamiluddin Ritonga assessed that Cak Imin's absence was not surprising.
The reason is, Cak Imin is not part of the carriage of the General Chairperson of PBNU Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya who wants to return NU to its khittah as KH Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur aspired.
Cak Imin, said Jamiluddin, was also considered a figure who was disloyal to Gus Dur.
"Indications in that direction were seen when Cak Imin took over as the General Chair of the PKB. The incident seems to still have an imprint on Gusdurian circles," Jamiluddin said in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 2.
For this reason, according to Jamiluddin, the current PBNU management under the leadership of Gus Yahya has distanced itself from PKB. Especially with Cak Imin. Because that way, he said, NU could be as ideal as Gus Dur wanted, namely to be everywhere.
"So, NU seems to want to show that it is not part of PKB. NU wants to say, PKB is part of NU. This thinking is logical, because it was NU that formed PKB," said Jamiluddin.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Indonesian Political, Legal and Policy Research Center (PRPHKI), Saiful Anam, assessed that Cak Imin's absence at the PBNU event was due to his disappointment with the composition of the Islamic organization led by Yahya Cholil Staquf.
Where, the PKB figures in the PBNU management did not come from the main circle of supporters of Cak Imin. Gus Yahya actually accommodated a number of political parties in the management of PBNU.
"That could be because there are many other political parties such as PDIP, Golkar, and PPP which are also accommodated in the management of PBNU. He (Cak Imin) feels 'why are you fighting with PBNU if you are not invited?' to Said Aqil Siroj, so that the composition of the PBNU management does not accommodate PKB too much," said Saiful, Wednesday, February 2.
