JAKARTA - Chinese New Year brings blessings to every human being. Not only ethnic Chinese, but also traders around Vihara Dharma Bhakti, West Jakarta. A number of sparrow traders lined up in front of Vihara Dharma Bhakti. Thousands of birds in these cages are sold by traders at a price of Rp. 1500 each. These birds are usually bought by the pagoda congregation and then released back into nature. These bird sellers are able to sell 7,000 birds every Chinese New Year celebration.
