Pinangki Takes Andi Irfan Abroad To Convince Djoko Tjandra
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office revealed that initially, Djoko Tjandra did not trust Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari in arranging a fatwa so that he would not be executed in connection with the Bank Bali cessie case at the Supreme Court (MA).
In order to convince Djoko Tjandra, Pinangki involved former Nasdem Party politician Andi Irfan Jaya. Where in several meetings in Kuala Lumpur with Djoko Tjandra, Pinangki brought Andi Irfan Jaya.
"Regarding the role of him (Andi Irfan Jaya), what is clear with Pinangki is how to convince Djoko Tjandra to believe it," said the Director of Investigation at the Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO, Febrie Ardiansyah, to reporters, Thursday, September 3.
However, Febrie did not mention what relationship Andi Irfan had with Djoko Tjandra. It's just that Pinangki always brings Andi Irfan when he meets Djoko Tjandra.
"In connection, when Pinangki was brought to Kuala Lumpur (Andi Irfan) he always accompanied him. Andi Irfan was because of Pinangki's friend, so he was brought to help convince Djoko Tjandra," he said.
Meanwhile, the Attorney General's Office previously said that Djoko Tjandra gave a cash advance for the fatwa of 500 thousand US dollars to Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari through Andi Irfan Jaya.
In this case, Andi Irfan Jaya has been named a suspect by the Attorney General's Office. Andi is said to be the intermediary for giving money from Djoko Tjandra to Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari.
Andi Irfan Jaya was accused by Article 5 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with paragraph (1) letter b or Article 6 paragraph (1) letter a jo. Article 15 of Law No.31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law No. 20 of 2001 on Corruption Eradication jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.
