Three Perpetrators Of Karaoke Arson In Sorong Arrested While Trying To Escape At Fakfak Harbor
SORONG - The Sorong City Police have again arrested three perpetrators of the Doubel0 karaoke arson during clashes between two groups of residents in Sorong, West Papua, which killed 17 innocent people.
Previously, the Sorong City Police had arrested nine perpetrators of the Doubel karaoke arson during the clash, bringing the total number of perpetrators of the karaoke crash to 12 people.
The Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Police, Commissioner Adam Erwindi, said the three new perpetrators with the initials E, OB, Z were arrested at the port of Fakfak Regency when they were about to flee by ship at 23:00 WIT on January 30, 2022, heading to Tual, Maluku.
"The Sorong City Police Chief directly led the arrests," said Adam in Sorong, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 31.
After the incident, said Erwindi, the police have closed off exits, including the airport and the port.
He stated that all the perpetrators of the bloody clashes in Sorong that killed 18 people who had been arrested amounted to 14 people.
Two perpetrators slashed and killed a victim and 12 perpetrators damaged and burned the DoubleO karaoke, killing 17 innocent victims.
