Fire In Tambora, It Turns Out That The Gas Cylinder Of The Convection House Iron Leaks

JAKARTA - A total of 19 houses on Jalan Kali Anyar 3, RT 06, 07 and 08 in RW 01, Kali Anyar Village, Tambora Sub-district were burnt down. It was later discovered that the cause of the fire was suspected to be a gas leak in an ironing device in one of the convection houses.

"The object that burned was 200 square meters from 19 houses. The loss was estimated at IDR 4 billion," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Sjukri Bahanan to reporters, Monday, January 31.

The operation to extinguish the fire started at 10.14 WIB with 25 units of fire engines deployed.

"There are no victims. The blackout process is complete," he said.

Of the 19 houses that were burned, at least 40 families (KK) with 100 people were displaced due to the fire.

"It is suspected that the cause was a gas leak in the ironing equipment in one of the convection houses," he said.

Previously, it was reported that another fire had hit residential areas on Jalan Kali Anyar 3, RW 08, Kali Anyar Village, Tambora District. West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. officers received reports from residents regarding the fire at around 07.04 WIB.

Then the West Jakarta and Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. deployed 25 firefighting units to the fire location. Fire trucks arrived at the location at around 07.08 WIB and immediately carried out the process of extinguishing the fire.

"Currently, we are still in the process of localizing the area. As many as 125 personnel were dispatched to the location of the fire," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Sjukri Bahanan to reporters, Monday, January 31.
